New!! Canon EOS C300

More than just a camera, the C300 camera marks the beginning of a whole new system for the motion picture industry. Form factor, ergonomics, image processing and lenses – re-imagined to tailor the experience of shooting to the needs of professional cinematography crews. Large imager unleashes full creative potential. Modeled on the Super 35mm 3-perf motion picture film standard, Canon’s CMOS sensor has an active image size of 24.6 x 13.8mm. This camera provides exceptional low-light capabilities.

Panasonic AG-AF100 and AJA Ki Pro Mini Compact Field Recorder

The AG-AF100 is the first professional 4/3″ large image video camcorder optimized for high-definition video recording. Targeted at the video and film production communities, the AF100 delivers the shallow depth of field and wider field of view of a large imager, with the flexibility and cost advantages of a handheld camcorder. We also have the AJA KiPro Mini recorder (as seen in picture) which allows for higher quality recording to Apple ProRes 422HQ files.

Panasonic AG-HPX500

The AG-HPX500 P2 HD shoulder-mount camcorder delivers production-quality 2/3″ progressive 3-CCDs, DVCPRO HD quality, multi HD and SD formats, variable frame rates, and four independent audio channels. In addition, the HPX500 offers the outstanding benefits of P2 solid state recording including ultra-fast IT workflow and no-moving-parts reliability, which makes the camera ideal for use in harsh environments.

Panasonic AG-HPX170

The AG-HPX170 is an ultra-mobile P2 HD handheld camcorder featuring full, 4:2:2 independent frame production quality HD and solid-state recording. 1/3″ progressive 3-CCD imager system, Leica Dicomar 13X lens, HD-SDI interface, metadata input and management.

Canon 7D

The Canon EOS 7D is arguably the world’s most complete “HDSLR” at the time of its introduction. Starting with its CMOS imaging sensor — far larger than the sensors in most high-end professional video cameras, even though it’s not a full-frame sensor — and progressing to its range of features, this camera takes high-quality video recording capability in an SLR and moves it to a new level. The Canon 7D records high definition video at a maximum resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels with a 16:9 aspect ratio.

Panasonic AG-HVX200

The HVX200 offers variable frame rate capability, providing the cinematic expression of higher-end cameras like the Panasonic VariCam® AJ-HDC27. In 720p mode, the HVX200A’s frame rate can be set from 24p/30p to any of 20 steps between 12p and 60p, allowing for undercranking/ overcranking for fast or slow-motion effects in 720P.

Sony HVR-Z1U

The HVR-Z1U features three developed Super HAD 1/3″ CCDs. These 16:9 native CCDs, combined with a high quality 12X Optical Zoom Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar® T* Lens and Sony’s 14 bit A/D and DXP Digital Extended Processor, result in precise image acquisition with superb detail and clarity. The advanced CCD design allows more light to reach the pixel imager, reducing video noise and improving the signal-to-noise ratio. The HVR-Z1U records this exceptional imagery using the recently adopted HDV 1080i format onto a DVCAM™ mini cassette.

Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM Telephoto Zoom Lens

One of the most acclaimed lenses in the Canon EF line, with superior performance, increased speed and optical quality. This lens has a minimum focusing distance of 3.9′ (1.2 m) at all zoom settings so you can get the shot when shooting close to your subject even in smaller spaces. Olympus Zuiko Digital Zoom lens 14-35 mm F/2.0 Four Thirds (For Panasonic AG-AF100)

This is a high-performance everyday zoom lens that features an ultra-bright fixed f/2.0 aperture throughout its entire zoom range. Canon EF-S Zoom lens 17-55mm F/2.8 IS (For Canon 7D)

This a great lens for handheld video shooting on the Canon 7D. Canon has specially designed this lens with a large aperture of f/2.8 for select Canon Digital SLR cameras.* The large circular aperture produces a shallow depth-of-field, creating background blur that draws attention to the photographic subject. The lens construction includes UD and aspherical elements, which deliver impressive image quality throughout the entire zoom range. Image Stabilizer lens groups shift to compensate for camera movement so that the image appears steady on the image plane, ensuring clear, crisp images, even in dim light.

Tokina 11-16mm (Great wide angle lens for Canon 7D)

The new Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX is an ultra-wide angle lens with a fast f/2.8 aperture for better photography in low-light situations. Many photojournalists consider having an f/2.8 aperture a must for any lens in their camera bag. Based on the award-winning optical design of the AT-X 124 PRO DX (12-24mm f/4) lens, the new AT-X 116 PRO DX has a slightly shorter zoom range to maintain optical quality at wide apertures.

This is an excerpt from a review of this mic on bhphotovideo.com — ”Let me give a little back-story on this one. I have been working in post production at Warner Bros Studios as a supervisor in post production for almost 10 years now. I have been in charge of overseeing dailies coming into the studio. I have worked with all the best sound mixers in the industry. Not only have I had equipment and spec meetings with every sound mixer coming into the studio, but I have also had the opportunity to talk to the dub stage mixers during the mix of our features. Back in 2006 I was looking for a great microphone to do ADR recording for a professional trailer. One of the older experienced mixers said there is only one mic that has the most dynamic yet clean recording for dialogue – both on set and in the ADR studio. The Sennheiser-MKH 416. He gave it such a stellar review I didn’t even think twice about considering a different microphone.Now after a full year putting it to use in the ADR studio as well as (mostly) on a boom pole I am still amazed each and every time I use it. Just last month I was doing an indie shoot using free crew and I only gave our boom operators 10 minutes of instruction before handling the boom for the shoot. This is obviously not enough time to learn but the mic saved me like you wouldn’t believe. The on-camera backup mic picked up nothing but echo even for the close up shots where the subject was 2′ in front of camera. We were shooting using a prosumer HD camera in a standard living room with hardwood floors. The Sennheiser on the boom (more than 5′ away) had absolutely no echo and recorded perfectly clean feature quality dialogue on the separate channel. The sound mixers at Warner Bros use it. I use it. There is no better microphone. Period.”

Arri Compact Fresnel Three-Light Kit

Three of Arri’s most popular Fresnel lights form the core of this complete lighting outfit: the Arri 150W is a small Fresnel with great performance and rugged construction, with a 2″ (50 mm) Fresnel lens; the very efficient 300W Plus Fresnel uses a 3.2″ (80 mm) low expansion, borosilicate Fresnel lens to produce a soft, even field of light. The 650W Fresnel features the same lens, reflector, housing and power cord as the 300W Fresnel, producing (of course) more light.  A Chimera 16 x 22″ softbox is included (perfect for interviews and soft light in tight spaces), as well as barndoors, filter frames, light stands, bulbs, a ceiling scissor clamp and a hard compact carrying case for storage and transport.

DV-11

The DV-11 prompter has been specifically designed for professional MiniDV camcorders and also works well with DSLR cameras.
